The evocative Gioconda Suite is characterized by being the room where the Gioconda painting was found in 1913, after having been removed from the Louvre two years earlier by Vincenzo Peruggia. In this room the meeting took place between Peruggia and the director of the Uffizi Giovanni Poggi, who took the painting into custody.
